Start your Smart Meters, folks! Bluewater Power will transition to Time of Use billing starting today, March 15, 2012. While older meters had no way to report when your power was actually being used, Smart Meters will record your total electricity consumption hour by hour and send that information to Bluewater Power through a wireless network. The ability to measure when electricity is used, allows hydro companies to apply different prices to consumption at different times of the day.
