Seriously. I know this isn’t exactly hot off the press news (I started writing this post 5 days ago) but can you believe Elton John is coming to Sarnia? I am not a diehard Elton John fan by any means but the man is an icon and I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to see him live especially right here in our city! That’s HUGE! Tickets went on sale last Friday. After nearly an hour of unsuccessfully trying to get tickets via the web/phone I decided to leave the hubby manning the internet and try my luck at the box office since my little guy was napping. Unshowered, I put on a black t-shirt and some fleecy capris that did not adequately cover my leg stubble, grabbed my wallet and a Diet Coke and off I went. The line didn’t look that bad so I got in it. HA! It turned out to be the slowest moving ticket selling line ever in the history of ticket selling lines. I was there for almost 4 hours in the hot, scorching sun waiting. It was brutal. Thank goodness for the folks at the Fox FM and Lambton Ford who both showed up to hand out water to the people waiting in line. Very nice gesture and very much appreciated! Also awesome was how I talked the guy behind me (who was not getting his 6 ticket max) to buy my other two tickets so I got 8 seats sitting all together for my friends and family! YAY!
Last weekend was also the London Bump, Baby & Toddler Expo at the Western Fairground Agriplex. We went on Saturday with our friends Heather and baby Olivia. What an adventure! We learned a very valuable lesson about traveling with babies who have different ideas about how to spend their time in the car (hers sleeping, mine shrieking and squeaking toys)! We had so much fun seeing all the cute baby stuff and entering to win prizes. Seeing all those baby bumps sure did make me miss being pregnant! It was a good day.
This coming weekend is going to be SO exciting! There’s so much going on! Artwalk, for example 🙂
I will be posting lots of fun events for this upcoming weekend later. Until then, enjoy your day!
