Captain Kidd Days is an annual tradition held in Corunna, Ontario on the civic holiday. Every year the GREAT people of the community and surrounding area come together to celebrate this fun filled weekend at the Corunna Athletic Park. This years date is August 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2012.
The dedicated and passionate people of the Captain Kidd Committee work hard to put this event together and campaign for donations from local and industrial businesses in our area. This entire event is put together based on the donations we receive. Any extra funds obtained over the weekend are put right back into the community (Corunna Minor Ball, Mooretown Flags, Corunna Fire Dept and St. Clair Township Parks Dept.)
During this weekend you will experience fun and entertaining family activities and a little leisure time at night for the adults! A kids zone including inflatable rides, treasure hunt, parade, pirate dressing contest, karaoke, dunk tank, a live magic show, splash pad and park. Not to mention yummy snow cones, cotton candy and popcorn!!
For all the teenagers and young adults there is a Miss Teen Corunna pageant and a battle of the bands. Miss Teen will ride first class in the Parade and the Battle of the Bands winner will open and play a full set on either the Friday or Saturday night!
For all you hard working adults, of course you will be treated to a beer tent with live musical entertainment by different bands throughout the weekend and of course the two pitch tournament as well. Details of the musical acts will be announced soon!
