Discover the annual Return of the Swans at Lambton Heritage Museum, and witness thousands of birds resting on the bog, attracted by the melt water of spring and the remnants of prior year’s corn crop. Stop by the Lambton Heritage Museum before heading out to Greenway Road to view the tundra swans in person. We will be featuring exhibits about the tundra swan migration, as well as activities to engage visitors in the tundra swan story
In addition, Lambton Heritage Museum will be offering tundra swan-related March Break programming 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, March 11 -15. Programming will include Makerspace equipment from Lambton County Library and will offer school aged children the opportunity to try their hand at a button maker or at programming an ozobot – a pocket-sized robot!
Be sure to visit the website www.returnoftheswans.com for migration updates and whether there are swans in the area on specific dates. Although mid-March is typically an active time for swans, the museum cannot guarantee swans will be on site each day during the March Break.
